Liquid diet - questions about calories and weight loss

I know everyone's liquid diet is different.
I'm on day 3 of a 10 day 'full liquid' diet, followed by a 2 day 'clear liquid' diet.

I've had jello, pudding, skim milk, coffee, tea, carbmaster yogurt, carbmaster yogurt smoothies, chicken broth, premier protein shakes, whey powder shakes (with a banana). (The banana was great and my nutritionist approved it, but I only plan to do that 2 more times and will use a 1/2 banana the next two times I do this.)

The first two days I've lost about 7 pounds. That's after losing 45 pounds in 4 1/2 months previously.
I know weight loss also varies in everyone.

I'm averaging so far 725 calories per day. I'm eating often, but it's all fairly low calorie stuff. I'm not saying i'm not hungry, but i'm also not doing too bad.

So how many calories were you averaging during your liquid diet - and how much weight did you lose overall (and how long was your liquid diet)?

My goal all along was to get to 280 day of surgery. I don't think I'll have any problem reaching that goal.

I did not count calories so I have no idea. I was not required to count the calories I was eating.

I also didn't have to count calories during my Pre Op diet. I don't have to count them either now on the 2nd week of my Post Op diet. I am 12 days Post Op and have one more week on Full Liquids.

I didn't have to follow a liquid diet and I ate around 500 - 800 calories and of those calories most were from proteins. Every surgeon is different and I suggest you contact your doctor or dietitian and ask them how many calories you should be having. Mty doctor was strict and after surgery I was on liquids only for 5 weeks and then 3 on liquidized food. Good luck with your surgery.

I'm on day 4 of the pre-op liquid diet. My dietician has me drinking 6 Ensure High Protein a day. My list of what I am able to consume is very small. Chicken and Beef Broth, SF Jello, SF Popsicles, Water (of course) and I am able to have flavored water as long as the flavoring is sugar free. I have been keeping track in myfitnesspal only because I want to make sure I'm getting in my 6 protein drinks. So throughout the day I have those, 2 cups of broth, 1 cup of jello and maybe 2 popsicles and I'm averaging about 1000 calories a day and so far I've lost 7 lbs.

I averaged 675 calories over 10 days on full liquid and less than 100 on clears. Lost 18 pounds over 12 days though. I've heard that's the worst part. I'll find out soon!

Yep, I found that the pre diet was the worst part - and really not that bad in the great scheme of things.
The next part is the start of a new adventure for you. :-)
