Default Skinny legs - Fat Belly Help

    Hey Everbody,

I have noticed that my legs are getting skinny, but those 2 huge rolls of fat around my middle section are not moving.

Is there anything that any of you tried that helps that condition. I'm swimming and walking every day, staying on the protein and water just fine. Those rolls of fat were the last to come on, you would think they would be the first to go.

I see things advertised to do, cool freezing, machines, treatments... but does anything work?

Any advice appreciated. Thank you and have a Great day.

I would do exercises to build up the muscles in my legs. You may want to do the same with your core. I have found out that depending on how much you lose, you may want a tummy tuck afterwards. No matter how much your lose, if you have ever had children the muscles in your belly have separated and surgery is the only fix. I would keep losing and decide when I reached my goal weight, if I needed surgery.

I just contacted a Dr for the cost of a tummy tuck. I have had 3 children and I am 55 years old. My weight loss have been perfect with few complications, however I have a pouch I never had when I was thin.

Interested to see the responses to this -- I have skinny legs - no backside. Boobs are fine (TMI), and a saggy stomach. But honestly, I'm 66 years old and now in the best health in the last 15 years.

One thing I've noticed is my fat migrates. When I first started losing lots of weight, my upper thigh and arms were losing diameter, but my stomach was still "fluffy". Then I started noticing that I was losing what I gather to be internal fat because my stomach still stood out, but when I laid on my back, everything flattened out and I felt hollow. Now I'm noticing my stomach shrinking. Weird thing, fat. Some of the most dramatic shifts have happened now that I'm down to losing 2lb/wk where before I was losing anywhere up to 5 - 10 (and even more the first two weeks post surgery...).

You can't really spot lose. It is going to come off the way it wants. Keep working out and follow the rules. You might need a tummy tuck at the end of the road but only time will tell.

I think fat loss in everyone is different, just as fat deposits are different in everyone. The best is to wait until you are stable at your goal weight before deciding on any form of surgery. I will probably need a boob lift and possibly a tummy tuck as I an apron, but that is due to having had 2 c-sections. I am trying to tone up and firm everything through weight training.

At 66, I think my goal in all of this is returned health and energy; yes, it would be grand to look like my 24 year old flat tummy, apple bottomed self -- but reality is, I did not take care of myself; beyond that, I had genetic health issues that involved serious surgeries and treatment.

My goal at this point is 1) learning the rhythm of normal life in balance with eating for health; 2) acceptance that I am where I am in my journey with "beauty" (and how humbling to realize I am vain). and 3) to be at peace with what is.

That said, I shall not go quietly! I will do the things I need to to maintain health of body, mind and spirit <3 You guys are all a big part of that balance.
    Thanks for being there.
