    Default Ghi insurance

Hello everyone I was wondering if anyone with GHI was approved for gastric sleeve, when I went to my first consultation, the doctor said it was going to be approved, but i don’t know I’m having some doubts about it.

Even every insurance company is different, so you just have to check with them. For example I have Blue Cross/Blue Shield and had no coverage as my school district had added a "no bariatric surgery" clause. Others with the same insurance company had coverage. Hope you do, sounds like it!

Usually the surgeon's office has really good knowledge of the policies. They make their money only if you have the surgery. They do not really make anything off of pre surgery appointments. Regardless, as Sraebaer said you should contact your insurance company and ask them to lay down the requirements for you. Write everything down and ensure that your surgeon's office follows them to a T. Good luck!
