Waiting on Medicare requirements. Hate sugar free. Any suggestions?

Hi! I'm new. I'm waiting to fulfill the requirements that Medicare has. I was told it will be the end of the year or possibly the new year for my surgery. I can't stand sf products and get headaches with them. They leave such a bad taste in my mouth. Any suggestions?

Hello.
The only sugar free items I had/have are naturally sugar free. By the time I've had my protein, and bit of veg there's not much room for anything else.
What sort of products were you thinking of?

Well, like the first week you can only have sf products, so i.suppose I will have to drink water only.

Hmmm the post surgery instructions differ from surgeon to surgeon. I didn't have any sugar free items. I think I just kept drinking my protein shakes and as much water as I could get down.

The Dr wants me to have a clear liquid diet the first week. Only sf items. The second week you can start protein shakes. I need to find a protein with no added artificial sweeteners. I'd rather have a protein that is not sweetened. Thanks for your replies!

Yes most of the low carb protein shakes have some kind of sweetener in them. I would ask your nutritionist at the surgeon's office if there are some other options.

You don't have to have any sugar free products until you get to the hospital where that's probably what they will give you. Ask the dietician to give you some shake recipes that are sweetened just a little with a natural product.
