Default Decaffeinated Coffee for Clear Liquids

I had my surgery Monday. On my list of clear liquids, it has DECAFFEINATED coffee and tea. I have been drinking the tea. Skim milk is allowed as well. I want to drink coffee, but wasn't sure if I could put some of my non fat milk in it. I am thinking I probably can since it is not creamer. Did anyone do this for their 1 week of clear liquids?

I didn't but now I use caramel protein shake as my creamer in my coffee. It tastes amazing! I would think it would be okay but if your unsure contact your surgical team.

I also used and still use the Premier Protein Vanilla or Caramel shake as “creamer” in my coffee and teas!

For those way farther into your recovery/maintenance stage I use the Premier Protein in my oatmeal. As well as in my modified Bulletproof Coffee (since I still cannot swallow those immense omega-3 pills, I add brain octane oil to my coffee and blend with caramel protein shake).

I'm about 2 months out of my sleeve surgery. I was told I could drink skim milk with my protein shake while I was on my clears. So I would assume it would be fine to have with your decaf coffee or tea.

I never gave up coffee with skim milk and Splenda. It helped me to keep my sanity.
