Default Is there really such a thing as a "pouch reset"?

I, personally, do not believe in an pouch reset.
    But that is just me.
Here is an interesting comment from a bariatric surgeon:
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

My nutritionist just calls it a "Mind Reset." I don't believe in a pouch reset either.

I agree - the pouch is the pouch is the pouch. Like any part of the body (over dying hair) you can abuse it; but it is resilient in that correct treatment and care make it whole again.

I watched it. I don't have an opinion one way or the other about a pouch reset, but this dude is just trying to make money selling his stupid lectures. I barely made it through this 9 minute video and him talking. No way in hell I'm paying for 90 minutes of it.

I think the principle is actually quite simple. So when you overeat, the next day you will feel more hunger and crave more food which in turn takes more food to feel full. If you overeat again the cycle continues. If you do the reset...it helps you go back to feeling full on a lower amount of food. I think that is the reason it is beneficial. Not so much that it makes your pouch smaller or anything like that. Just my non professional opinion.
PS-Full disclosure, I did not watch the video. I am just going on my own research that I have done on the subject.

Last week when I noticed my waistline bulging out of my size ten shorts, I knew it was time to get a reality check. Of course one of the first things I thought about was the notorious "pouch reset." I came across the www.bariatriccookery.com that inspired me to get back to my anchors or pillars for sustainable weight loss that I had so heedlessly abandon due to all sorts of life demands.

As others have mentioned it is a mind head heart reset.

I don't know anything about the reset except I have heard of people talking about it. I just know that I have to keep on thinking about why I overeat. somehow I always feel like I'm getting away with something when I overeat, like a kid let out on recess. But the only rebellion is against myself. Maybe its because when I was young A person close to me abandoned me and then after they hounded me about my weight and made cruel remarks. Its kind of like I'm saying "you better love me the way I am" but of course I never get that satisfaction. Its just something I know I have to deal with everyday even after the sleeve, which is on Monday.
