Well, I am roughly 1.5 years out and down roughly 140 total pounds from my high weight. What a ride it has been. To say I have been bitten by the fitness bug is an understatement to say the least.
July 22, 2018 - Boston Triathlon
Well, it ended up being a duathlon due to the weather, no swim. 2k run, 35k bike, 10k run.
All in all I had fun, could have run faster on the 2k but I was not sure what to expect. The first 800 meters was in the sand on the beach which made it interesting.
I finished in 2:07:53
I was 12th in my age group (45 - 49 year olds) 206th over all! Definitely happy with myself after this race!
I still can't get over how far I have come. I tell people everyday that are thinking about surgery or just trying to lose weight that our bodies can do amazing things!
I was exhausted yesterday and took a day off from working out, and have to admit my eating was not in keeping with the plan, but I was starving all day and couldn't seem to get enough calories. Today we are back at it training for Sept. 8th and my half Ironman 70.3!
Here are some pictures of my race!
Pre-race hanging with my kiddos! I was freezing. The wind and rain were horrid!

Biking in the rain is so much fun when you have essentially nothing on.....

Coming into transition from the bike. At least the rain has stopped!

Headed out on the run. Legs amazingly felt really good.
