I am still waiting for insurance approval.
But I noticed that many of you have the weight before suregy and at surgery.
My doctor told me to lose 10 pound only, but some of you lostlot more.
What did you do? What kind of diet did you followed?

You could "practice" like you already have the sleeve, "high-protein" first, non-carb veggies and make sure to drink lots of water. You could also do the 2 protein shakes for meals and a sensible diet (low-carb). You got this and we have some folks who lose more than 25 lbs. before surgery depending on starting weight. I think you'll do great and I wish you continued success!
Hi. I NZ I was put on a 3 week "Optifast diet" prior to surgery. The main objective of this was the reduce the size of the fatty liver in order to make surgery easier. However it also got me into some good habits. It was a choice of either a protein shake, bar, soup, or dessert from the Optifast range 3 times a day - so 3 products only per day. In addition I was allowed 1 cup of vegetables. It was actually the hardest part of the whole process - but totally doable as I know that it was only for 3 weeks and that there was a great goal at the end :-) I'm sure your surgeon will advise you on what they would like you to do once you get to see them.
I was 193 before I started my Pre Op diet and my BMI 37. On the day of my surgery I was 181. I wasn't told to only lose a certain amount of weight. My pre op diet was for 10 days and for the first 7 days I had 2 protein shakes, and a light meal for dinner of only protein and certain veggies. I was able to have sf popsicles, sf jello, and chicken broth. During the last 3 days it went to 3 protein shakes and liquids.
