    Default 10 hrs post op

My first post - approx 10hrs after the operation.

I'm in the UK, so its currently 9.30pm. I feel a little uncomfortable, nothing major! However I'm feeling very emotional. Not much more to right now apart from hoping that i get a good nights sleep.

    Bye for now

One day later. I'm now of the IV fluids and am able to sip water. I'm in anti nausea and anti clotting meds. The anti nausea meds are taking the edge of me feeling sick, but I've been sick a couple time. Docs said this is normal at this stage. I've been up and wondering around. Also I've sipped on a black coffee and had some plain yogurt. Thanks for reading!

My best advice for that first week is to nap. A lot. When you're not napping, sip and walk. Then nap again.

Thanks for the comments. It's now been 2 1/2 days since the operation.
I had a couple of "wobbles" - thinking why did I go through with it, but in the end I calmed down. Though I've only been drinking liquids I've had zero hunger pangs. Long may that continue
I've kept to the rules: sip, sleep and stay active. I'm heading home tomorrow morning so it'll be easier to post updates.

One week and one day from the sleeve. Everything has been fine since I've been home. I've got two labradors, and I took one out for a walk yesterday. It was great to be out in the fresh air and the dog appreciated the run rather than being confined to the garden.
