    Default Brits- nutritional advice please

    Hi,
I paid private for my sleeve and do not have the funds currently to pay the £85 an hour the nutritional dietitian near me wants. I had hoped to get all the info I needed off the net but I am finding it slightly confusing. I need to get out of this stall of 19lbs in 6 weeks. Could anyone share with me a plan that maybe they have been given by their adviser to get them through a plateau please?
    Thanks
    Janis

Did your package not include a dietitian?

Besides that: your surgery was 6 weeks ago and you say you had a loss of 19 lbs in those 6 weeks?
    Is that correct?
So you had a weekly loss of 3,1 lbs, right?

    Now I am confused...
What stall are you talking about?
    What plateau?
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

No dietitian not included as went abroad.
My weight loss has stalled at 19lbs and has been the same for 10 days now.

See if this works, it was my eating instructions for the first 6 weeks. After 6 weeks I was cleared for all foods, so it may not apply to you.

    Now I understand.
I'm sorry, I can't help you, but I did some googling and found this (a.o.):

I hope you will get the answer you need.

If you focus on eating protein and then veggies you will eventually lose. How much protein are you getting? What is your fluid intake like? Are you exercising? Are you eating enough? You should give us a sample of what a day of eating looks like for you!

    Hi Janis
So, I had my sleeve in UK but have 2 year follow up. Firstly, have you been told what supplements you MUST take ? If not, let me know and I'll send list. You'll need follow up bloods done at 6 months to ensure you're absorbing all your vits and minerals. Maybe you can ask gp to do this ?

Food wise, you must eat protein and drink 2 litres of water. Maybe you need to up both. 19lbs sounds good though and a stall early on is normal.
I'm 13 weeks post op and I've lost 33 lb incl pre op diet. I lose 2lb most weeks, some only 1lb. Not as much as I'd expected but I've been assured it's all normal.
I tend to eat Quorn sausages, chicken, spag Bol a fair bit. Include snacks like Liberte Greek yoghurt with honey. Maybe peanut butter on seeded bread for breakfast. Omelettes etc.
Did the clinic not provide any follow up appointments ?
