6 weeks out

Hi, I just signed up to this site. I just had the sleeve done 6 weeks ago. The first 4 were an up and down roller coaster!! I have lost 40 lbs so far since I started the whole process but recently gain 5 back. It caused me to panic. I thought it would be a good idea to find people who can relate to me. I am all in and ready to do the work.

Wow, 40 lbs in six weeks!
That is a lot.
Just keep following your surgical teams rules and you will be fine.

No need to worry about a gain right away. Your body was filled with liquids while you were in hospital ( IV drip) in order to keep your liquids going inside you or better yet so you didn't get dehydrated. It takes some time for your body to adjust to things as well so sometimes the scale is actually bad for you to rely on.

Keep following the advice of your medical team and you will do just fine. Congrats on joining the sleeve family and best of luck to you on your journey!!

It has been 23 lbs since the surgery the rest was before to be able to get the surgery sorry I didn't clarify. Thanks

That sounds more like it, but actually that is still a lot!

Just do what you are supposed to do.

Strawberry -- why do YOU think you've gained 5 pounds?

What do you think is the cause of that?

Ann2...I am not sure that is why I am worried. I mean I started doing workouts again not just walking anymore. I am now off the puree so I am introducing soft food. I was having a hard time getting all my protein and water in but can now get both. I downloaded the baritastic app yesterday so I could track everything. We will see if this helps. I weigh in on July 3 so we will see if this helps. I know my body is going through a lot of changes so maybe that is it.
