What is your favorite thing that you can do now that you couldn't do before surgery?

No matter how silly or insignificant it might seem. Maybe not even your "favorite" thing, but...just something important that you can do now that you couldn't. I imagine tying shoes is a common one.

Great question. For me it's getting down on the floor to play with my grandson and being able to get up again easily - without having to hang on to furniture and haul myself up! Los and lots of other great things but that is my fav. :-)

Being able to go down in pant sizes still amazes me, all my life all I have ever done is go up in sizes. The positive feelings you get with all the good things that are starting to happen. It really is an amazing journey to be obese and then slowly becoming non-obese.

I can bend over and tie my shoes without being out of breath. That is HUGE! Oh, and crossing my legs. ASTRONOMICAL! Also, I love the fact that I can shop in a normal men's department store. No more plus size anything for me!

I've always been a bit of a yoga girl along with my crossfit and I'm super flexible BUT the size of my belly, and boobs the size of my head, used to get in the way!!! Now I can fold myself in half like a Japanese ham sandwich (Bikram stylee) AND I am very jolly pleased about that. Plus I still have good boobs! Just normal sized. :-)

There are so many, but I think being able to dress in a second because it looks alright in the right places is the main one.
Instead of the unhappiness of how it looked, so try this, then, that, then the other.

And put on my makeup and feel its made me happy instead of feeling upset that I felt like a drag queen or that it emphasised the wrong look, that used to really upset me !!!!! Now I am happy in an instant it looks ok.

I always liked makeup and clothes but when I put on all my weight they became the most disappointing thing ever. All the effort seemed to be emphasising what I wanted to downplay.

I feel more feminine and younger now in being comfortable with the weight loss so far.

As an avid golfer, being able to pick up my ball from the hole without holding my breath or pinching my beltline. Walking 5 miles while playing golf.

Play with my kids (without getting exhausted)!!! Easily that is my number 1. Second is being able to exercise without feeling like I am going to die!

Crossing my legs has been amazing. Being happy when I try on clothes. I'm looking forward to being able to go down the water slide with my niece and nephew when I see them in a few weeks!
