    Default Frustration

Hi Fellow Sleevers, I have a slight frustration with this site. Someone post a question and you take time out of you busy day to anwser and you get no response not even a click on the Thank you button!!! I’m feeling like its not worth responding anymore. I love to help be an encourager to someone still needing the Sleeve or just had it but if you get no response you can’t improve your message or know your message was helpful. So please if you post a question and someone takes time to anwser Please be Courteous and respond or give them a thank you. It’s rude in my Opion not too.
I wish you all much Sucess in your journeys. Happy Fathers Day to all the dads out there

It could be how they have their account settings. I had to turn off my notifications from this site because my phone was constantly sending notifications to my gmail. And I didn't like that it would flash up on my screen because not many people know I have been sleeved and it would have from "gastric sleeve" on there. So, that is me personally. But I do get what you are saying.

Also, circling back if it is my post I obviously check it without having to worry about the notifications. I always try to thank or respond to all of the people who took the time to comment. The only time I let it fall to the way side is when it is an older post and someone comments after it has been dormant for a while.
    And breathe….big hugs.

    That really IS frustrating.
    And also not very polite.
But it happens, I know, and I also don't like it.
But there is nothing we can do abouth it.
    So: breathe in.... relax..., whoosaaa.

Yes it can be frustrating I guess and RUDE! But like christie says, maybe its the notifications switched off. I switched mine off because they would drive me crazy. I do think it is nice to thank someone and respond to them if they are taking time out of their day to be helpful :-)

    Hi Tamera!

I can relate to your frustrations regarding this matter. I really can. But trust me when I say that some things aren't worth the effort of becoming frustrated over.

I agree that thank you's and comments are a common courtesy that (in a perfect world) should be extend by all who participate, however I have learned to simply enjoy the fact that you have readership enough to know that individuals within the VSG Community find your writings interesting enough to want to come back time and again to see what you post next. To worry about someone saying thank you or commenting really is a disservice to you.

    In any event,

Hang in there and know you are not alone in this fight, but that sometimes the effort involved with said fight is far too great to allow it to dictate your emotions.

    Have a great week!

Good Morning Christie, you always do an awesome Job along with many that commented. I know your very active on her on many fronts and appreciate it very much. Not to worry I’m not loosing sleep over this, lol but thought if I said what was in the back of my mind it might make those that aren’t responding more engaged. Nothing to loose Hope you have a great day. I’m getting ready to hit the Oregon desert trail for the next 4 days.Plan to get 50miles in. Hugs

I would like to thank all those that took time to read my post and even respond. I appreciate each of you. Frustration might have been a little strong! Really thought I might get those that haven’t engaged on their post to maybe try next time to comment to those that take time to anwser in some way , I do relize there are factors besides being rude etc. Life happens. I hope you all have a wonderful day. I’m off to backpack next 4 days on The Oregon Desert Trail. Will get in 50miles. I don’t know how much cell service I’ll have. So I will check back when I can. Sometimes my life gets in the way of the support board, which I miss terribly; taking control of my time and being fully present are not easy when you over schedule -- and I'm retired, so no excuses.

I hope you find your self rejuvenated, body soul & spirit; I love retreat time and truly am envious of the ability to incorporate the hiking with the silence and beauty. You are a gift!
