    Default Keeping well

Hi, I know I haven’t been here for a while but I’m keeping well and still losing, even if it is slowly.
I suffered from reflux really bad early on but now it’s just every now and then.
I’ve worked out that after I’ve eaten, I sit for around 10-15 mins to relax then I get up and things have settled.
Just little things, I’m learning all the time.
Thank you also to a very special member of our group for helping me along the way.
    Much appreciated. ❤️
It’s cold and wet here today and I’ve been nibbling all day. The cold weather makes me hungry, lol.

Its freeeeezing Jean and Im in Queensland so you must be in woolly hats and scarves down there!!!!
I always find it better to sit for a bit after eating and then try to go for a little walk. We went out to lunch with the Nan and Grandfather the other day and walked home while they drove. We went Japanese and the grandfather was telling us a story about eating a rice and eel dish on a train platform in Japan on his way from Shanghai to Japan, he was about 8 years old and with his Aunty Madge. Well funnily enough the restaurant had exactly that dish and he ate it all!!! It brought back wonderful memories!
Why was he in Japan at 8 years old... his mother and his sister won a competition in England for a trip to the orient and so they went and never came home!!! Thats why he grew up in Japan! Totes fascinating!
But anyway I'm going on, but a 100 steps after dinner is a wonderful thing! Once I did this and saw an owl!!! True story! Love you Jean, you are doing just fine. Keep going, just small things every day x

Thanks Edie, that’s a great story to tell. Brightened my dreary cold day.
Yes, I was wearing my coat beanie and rubber boots when I went down to feed the steers and ponies.( three steers) lol.
Sounds like I run a big ranch, heehee but it’s only a few acres and I love my animals.
Anyway, back to your grandfather, isn’t it wonderful that he still recalls his cherished memories. That was a big prize back in those days. Hey?
I won a trip on a greyhound bus to Perth. That’s my biggest win. I was pregnant at the time and fainted at the bus stop while waiting to get picked up.
Good start but I did recover.
See, one I start talking or writing, I ramble on. I love hearing about people’s past. So interesting.
I was born in Scotland and my family moved to Australia when I was eight, so that number came to mind when you mentioned your grandfather.
We left all our relatives behind so grew up with no aunties uncles or grandparents here.
I envy people with big loving families.
If I could walk as much as I talk, I’d be super skinny! Lol! Better go, take care Jean ❤️

Hahaha If I could only get paid for talking Jean!!! I'm off back to Scotland for Christmas this year. Being away from family is hard.
Fainting at the bus stop!!!! YIKES! But that sounds like a good prize! I love animals too, they make me happy :-)

Cool Ann! Glad your reading too!
As I said to Edie, once I start that’s me. I ramble on and on.
It means that I’m happy though. That’s the best part. I’m so happy with my weight loss so far and
the fact I’m not as sore or lazy as I was before, makes it so much better.
Trying on smaller clothes is a buzz too. My pants that I always wear are so baggy now.
Greatest gift I’ve ever been given.

Sometimes my thoughts spill right out of my mouth -- never a good thing! You two are entertaining -- and here in NC its in the high 90s with ridiculous heat index over 100 plus humidity.....I would love to need a sweater!

You are totally doing well Jean. You are losing at a nice steady rate and that, in my opinion, helps with long term success and less saggy skin. Keep your eye on the prize. I know we are flip flopped opposite seasons but it is super hot here in Texas but I am loving it. (Although the running in the heat is not quite as pleasant.)

It's cold and very wet here in Auckland at the moment. Luckily my partner and I have a 2 week break in Samoa booked in August to look forward to :-)

    SAMOA!!! Wow! I’m so envious.

With your new body, KiwiGal, you’re going to love it.
How good is this getting? I haven’t seen anyone on here that hasn’t lost weight, either a little or a lot.
You’ve done well and should be overly proud. Well done!

Raining and cold again here too. Time for the beanie and coat again.

Went to the doc today because my shoulder has been sore. Apparently I’ve torn the tendon and he said I’d need it operated on.
I said I could go through another op, so he suggested a cortisone injection which he said will release the pain but the tendon
won’t heal on its own. Dilemma! I got the cortisone injection but it’s still sore. They say it could take up to three days to start working.
He also said I can’t have anti inflammatories because it’ll give me bad heartburn again.
I’ve had heartburn since I left his office. Not a good day, I’m afraid.
I think I did it when the pony pulled away from me when I was leading him.
Won’t be doing that again for a while.
Anyway, hoping it settles and I can get back to feeling good again.
I’m having a wine right now to relax.
