won’t heal on its own. Dilemma! I got the cortisone injection but it’s still sore. They say it could take up to three days to start working.
He also said I can’t have anti inflammatories because it’ll give me bad heartburn again.
I’ve had heartburn since I left his office. Not a good day, I’m afraid.
I think I did it when the pony pulled away from me when I was leading him.
Won’t be doing that again for a while.
Anyway, hoping it settles and I can get back to feeling good again.
I’m having a wine right now to relax.
Oh no Jean! Yes that might be sore for 2 to 3 days till the steroid starts working! Did they do one guided by ultrasound?? if they did then you never know you might be lucky and it might do the trick. Also did they do an MRI to see that the tendon was torn or does your doc have X-ray eyes?? ;-)
Just saying because if you haven't had an MRI then he doesn't know, and if he shoved in the cortisone without guiding it by ultrasound then he might not have hit the right spot! Long and short of it is if there hasn't been an MRI then it might just be sore and heal on its own so all is not lost!!!
Hope the wine is nice. I have a rather nice shiraz myself :-)

You cant have anti inflamitorys jean because they will give you an ulcer if you're not careful! But there are other pain relief options...

Thanks Edie, yes I had an ultrasound on Monday, so the doc had the results. Torn tendon and bursitis, I think he said.
He pressed the top of my shoulder when I screamed he popped the needle in.
So, I’m hoping he’s done it right.
Yeah he said I could have inflammatories because of the sleeve. So ulcers sound like that’d be the reason.
Thanks for caring, and I’ll have a sip with you! Lol!

Oh well sounds like he got the right spot then! You never know the steroid might tide you over for a bit and give you a bit of time to think. A friend of mine had surgery for a rotator cuff shoulder injury last year and said it was marvellous! For now have the wine :-) xx
