    Default Conference food

I have a conference all week at a fancy pants hotel. I work in Indigenous Health so when they cater they like the food to be what we call 'deadly choices' which means healthy. We have a lot of chronic health conditions in our Indigenous peoples so fresh good food is encouraged. Today we had fish wrapped in banana leaves and delicious salad. I was like a pig in muck or a kitten!!!! Fabulous!:-)

That fish sounds yummy. I love seafood! I grew up near the sea, so fish is part of my culture.

Oh my goodness, I'd be super skinny if I had to eat what you eat. In fact, I'd starve to death. l'll have to remember to thank God in my prayers tonight for McDonald's, Chick Fil A, Domino's Pizza, etc. Hahahaha. I kid. I'm behaving this week as I was way too bad over the weekend. No junk for me right now. Enjoy your conference and that fancy pants hotel.

    Sounds yum.
It's great that organisers are more aware of healthy eating these days.
Bulk food for groups doesn't have to be deep fried everything :-)

Right!!! Sometimes I'm astounded at conference food. Plus I hate muffins and they often seem to think thats a good choice for morning tea!!!! YIKES!!!! Incidentally NZ was the first place I came across a savoury muffin... I was fascinated and thought them to be a far more sensible option than the sweet ones... but still - muffin... and I also discovered bagels with cream cheese and jam... fascinating... and sandwiches with the MOST filling in the world. LOL :-) I MEAN I scoffed my fair share... :-s

Yeah some catering is tricky eh Mike! I'm just glad I work in Indigenous health. In my meetings 2 weeks ago we had delicious curry. One of my friends from the Territory is bringing me bush tucker honey ants next time we meet. I was like ummmm are they going to be alive on the plane... she's like don't worry, Ill freeze them to make them dopey!!!! ill let you know how that goes :-)
