Hallo... Yes I do exercise a lot, I do crossfit and personal training 5 or 6 times a week and I throw in an odd run. My diet is very clean, mainly seafood and veg and cottage cheese and eggs and nuts and a protein shake for breakfast. My rule in life is try not to eat anything with a barcode on it! If it grows eat it! Incidentally my level of exercise may not be everyones, I've always been sporty and grew up being a competitive swimmer so 4.30 am swim squad was my life with a lot of other stuff thrown in. Even when I got bigger I exercised (most) of the time with an odd year or two of not here and there. So I guess I am a bit different in that respect and was already pretty fit and running half marathons when I had my surgery. I guess it also goes to show that diet is 80% and exercise is 20% because I should have looked like a whippet with the amount of exercise I did. I had also lost nearly 40kg on my own before surgery. I think that if I hadn't been introduced to exercise and swimming before I could walk I would have been very morbidly obese. So when I had my surgery I was possibly a much lower BMI than some people. My BMI was 32 ish.
BUT... I do think that everybody can benefit from exercise and for some people that can be a daily walk. Exercise is so good for your soul, your mental health and your general health so just doing 'something' is great.
when do you think you might be having surgery?
