I'm looking to find people going to TJ for surgery on 6/18. I will be traveling alone and I'm a little nervous about it.
Thanks,
Kadie
Hi Kadie, congratulations on making this life changing experience. When I had my surgery there were 2 women traveling alone and everything turned out good for them and will turn out good for you. It’s very normal to be nervous especially because your having surgery in a foreign country. Your going to be in excellent hands. You will be spending time with others in your group and ultimately won’t be alone. Hang in there. Dr A and us team were outstanding. Best decision I ever made. Down 150lbs and living the life I spent years dreaming about. I’m doing things I never thought possible. If I can anwser any questions please let me know. Wish you all the best and enjoy the ride. 8B104289-7756-4803-A37C-A91F494FF26E.jpeg568B486D-85CC-47FD-A37D-58CC501021F8.jpegDEC28285-A51C-49BE-A9EB-58E294286859.jpeg

You’re going to be done before you know it. Some people really enjoy the hotel where you spend time post op. Will be saying a prayer for you!
Absolutely take the pain meds! You can’t heal when you’re in pain. I know some people don’t want to take them, and some of them can make you nauseated, but I still have to take mine right now at night to sleep. You will feel better when you get home. At 3 days I was throwing up and still in hospital.
How are you doing now that you are home???? I hope you are feeling better!!!
Today is the first day I've had much energy. I could definitely eat something but I am sticking to my diet. Looking forward to Wednesday when I can add protein shakes. I've had really bad reflux so all I can really tolerate is water and a popsicle here and there.
Thank you for asking!
