Default One year and a chin tuck!

Well yesterday marked my one-year SURGEAVERSERY. I had my one-year visit and review of blood work on Monday, my D and B1 and hemoglobin are still mildly low and now my A is low. So and additional supplement along with the B1 injections I take. No more C-pap gone.

I am a few pounds from my goal wait but may have lost that this morning when I had some excess skin removed form my chin. The rest sagging skin can be contained don’t think turtle neck in the summer will work.

It’s been an amazing journey despite my husband seemingly being unhappy, but he will get over it in time. I need to take care of me!
Thank you all for your support, answering questions, sharing your experiences and yourselves, it has meant a lot to me and I am sure to others as well!

    Peace, Love and Blessings!

    A

Happy surgiversary!!! Congrats on your new chin. Why is your husband unhappy? I have read some significant others cannot deal with their loved ones weight loss. It makes them feel insecure. Do you think that is what it is?

    Thanks Ann2!

I had liposuction and some extra skin removed to lessen my double chin and waddle. The doc said it would have been optimal to have gotten a face lift, but it cost to much and 4 to 5 hours in the OR...don't think so. Got sleeved faster! So I am bandaged up with a chin strap for the next few day. Good thing is just taking minimal tylenol and have little to no pain. Still a bit puffy but when I change the dressing this morning I could see the difference. Gone form a extra large marshmallow to a mini one.

Congrats for all your accomplishments and your new chin!! My hubby was totally against it at first out of concern for my well being. However, now he's rooting for me. Once he understood the reasons why I want to do it, he's supporting me 100%.
    Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for that information. I'm going to consider that -- a "neck lift" is the only thing I'd consider at this point. Again, appreciate your take on things.

    Ann,

I will let you know how things progress. I am to have the sutures out on Tuesday. Skin is feeling really tight right now, but I thinks that is a combination of. the sutures and bandage.

Concratulations on your one year surgiversary!
    You are almost at goal!

Thanks for the information about the chin tuck.
I am also considering that, I can hide all the other loose skin, but I can't stand scarves or other clothing around my neck.
I sometimes think I was hanged in a previous life...
And I am still have enough vanity to care, besides, I deserve it.
Now I have to come up with the money somehow...
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.
