    Default Premier Protein shakes

    Hey guys!
So my surgery is in August, and I recently had my first nutrition appointment. Different types of shakes and clear liquids were discussed for the first phase post-op. I've been watching a bunch of youtubers to see what they're been eating and how it affected thm post op, and noticed these shakes were popular. I started implementing them in my diet, and was wondering if any of you enhance them a bit by adding fruit or other liquids to it? I noticed one youtuber mixing it with coffe but that would not go over well for me haha. What do you guys do?
    Thanks!

the only protien stuff I could deal with was unflavored unjury protien powder.
I hear the chicken broth one is good too, unjury.com has sample packages you can try.
I have heard people say that the shakes they liked before being sleeved they hated after the surgery. just don't stock up too much for after surgery just in case.
    sleeved 12/30/14 @255lbs Goal 140lbs

I use it for my coffee cream in the morning! Get them at Costco in an 18 pack.

Well my advice to you is experiment and then experiment some more. You will get tired of protein shakes awful fast. I never really mixed them with anything, I just learned to drink them since I realized they were going to be a part of my life. They are still a part of my diet and I just drink them. Do I think they taste great...NOT! (lol) but they are what they are.

Try different kinds as well that also helps. Good luck to you on your journey!!!!

I usually drink my shakes straight. You could mix fruit but I would caution you on it as you would be adding a lot of natural sugars. Most surgeons recommend low carb during the weight loss phase.

Speaking from personal preference, I found the Premier Protein Shakes to be a little "chalky" for my taste. This is not to say they are not a good source of protein. This is simply my finding regarding the product. That said, I have found a Whey Premier Protein Powder (it comes in Vanilla Creme and Chocolate) that I use. With two scoops, I can receive 50 grams of protein in one serving, but that seems to be an acquired taste in that it can make the shake thick and a little clumpy if not shaken well.

Congratulations and best of luck as you fast approach your surgery date. The best is yet to come!

I add PB2 to chocolate and it is a little like Reese's Also added 1/2 banana but that raised the carb count although it was good. To vanilla I add different torani sf syrup
