Protein question

Hi everyone. I just started my pre op diet. I have been drinking premier protein shakes. I am now getting stomachaches. I am not lactose intolerant. I was wondering if anyone has had this issue.

Yes. The premier made me queasy too. I thought maybe it was because of so much protein in a small drink. I drink the Advant Edge Carb Control shakes. My nutritionist said they have all the right vitamins/minerals in them for gastric patients. My favorite is the Cold Brew Coffee flavor and I like the chocolate flavors. Don't care for the vanilla or strawberry but you may like them.

Hi! I tried several flavors.. sometimes watered them down - if too sweet. There are some unflavored protein powders out there too. You can add them to anything! Stay focused! you can do this!!!

I still drink one a day after almost 5 years, love them, especially as my coffee creamer.

My suggestion is to go to GNC or the Vitamin Shoppe and buy one of everything that looks good to you. They have it all, shakes, ones more like gatorade, powders, etc. Don't buy in bulk until you find something you like that agrees with your tummy.

It's odd but when I eat the premier protein bars they upset my stomach. I don't eat them anymore. No clue why I can drink the shakes but not eat the bars.

I just had to find an alternative protein shake recently for a couple of weeks prior to having my breast lift. My regular one is Monster Muscle protein and energy, so I had to be off it for a bit due to the energy part of it. I went to the Premier shakes. I thought I liked them and would continue to drink them even after my surgery. I was lying to myself. Now I have a whole fridge drawer full of caramel ones and peach ones. They just aren't that great after a few sips. I really missed my Monster protein even though they are much more expensive. I sure do love the Premiere Clear protein drink though. That thing is fantastic! Now I drink a Monster protein shake for breakfast and a Premier Clear for lunch.
