    Default 7 Month Update

The weight part is fine. Been having some FSP (froth, spew pooh) days for no understandable reason. No change in diet, no change in calories or grams of stuff. Just icky sick. I don't "feel" bad, just suddenly -- there it is.

That said, here are my "rules" for now, which I follow 100% Calories: 1100; protein grams 90-110 daily 64 oz water/liquid
    1. Take small bites
    2. Eat slowly
    3. PAY ATTENTION to my body. I can always eat again later. This is not the only time.
    4. Get a box with my order at restaurants, not after. Preview the menu and then decide before I go.
    5. Use a small plate at home
    6. PAUSE between bites. Put down my fork; talk; get up and walk around or something. Do not eat like you are in the prison dining hall.
    7. Learn and REMEMBER what full for me feels like.
    8. Live the 30 MIN drink rule
    9. Stop immediately when you are comfortable full, not full full.
    10. Stand firm - don't let someone convince you one more bite, or a piece of dessert or fries you didn't plan on.

    Then some life hacks:
    1. Shower everyday; wash my face and brush my teeth twice a day (floss and fluoride rinse)
    2. Moisturize (all of me) daily
    3. Use my favorite perfume, even if I'm not going anywhere. I am important.
    4. Keep my nails trimmed and toenails polished a happy color (not as easy as you think in your 60s)
    5. Wear make up just because I like it
    6. Exercise regularly (at least 3 x week) and walk a definite number of steps daily
    7. Spend time with a heart-friend and do it face to face at least once a week
    8. Remind yourself you are unique and beautiful in your own way

SO that's kind of my life as I turn 66 in 2 weeks. The picture is from Sunday this week, with my lovely husband, Jim.
Thank you all for being part of my journey. You are awesome!2018-05-05 home.jpg

Thanks. Protein is (some days) my nemesis! But my hair is finally coming back so I don't want to slack off.

A tip from sraebaer - I do one (1) Premier Protein shake in my many cups of decaf a day; the 11-oz shake has 30 grams, so that's a big plus. I like either chocolate (Mocha) or vanilla (Latte) - did not personally care for the other flavors.

I use TunaCreations as a snack; 16 grams protein in about 100 calories, depending on the flavor you get.
I use Fat Free shredded cheddar - 1/4 C a day 9 grams protein, 2 grams carbs -- CAUTION: you can only heat it up once or it becomes like plastic. But I put it with a small salad, or on fat free refried beans. (about a quarter cup)

At some point I have a protein like lean chicken (no fat, no skin), or fish (roasted).
I use Chobani fat free Greek yogurt -- 18 grams protein per 3/4 cup
and Oikos Triple Zero yogurt - 15 grams protein in a serving

    And standby's like eggs....
I use a food tracker; I plan my day ahead, and for restaurants, I always try to find a menu on line, ask for a box at the beginning and keep to what I plan.

If I go off, or make a change, I just adjust my plan.

Hope that helps! I can eat anything, in theory. In practice, when the first bite is "iffy" I have learned to stop.

Thanks for those tips! I have the premier protein shakes (Banana, Peach, Strawberry and Creams are my favorite...strange I know, but I don't like chocolate), premier clear protein 20 grams, the Syntrax Nectar Protein 23 grams, and the Oikos Triple Zero yogurt! However, I have yet to ever completely drink it all and with the yogurt about 3 or 4 spoons I'm full. I will have to try the Tuna Creations and the Fat Free Cheese, I'll head to the store after work. I've tried boiled eggs which gives me the worst gas ever....so, I try to stay away from them. I rarely go out to eat because it's a waste of money. I've tried going out to lunch with coworker, I order my food, three or four bites, and I'm full. However, I do get to have the meal for about three days. I just can never manage to get it all in!

    Yes, it helps tremendously! Thanks!

Such great tips Annie... especially the life hacks, you can totally tell you used to work in mental health. Those life hacks are so important for anyone, but especially if you are feeling blue, so anyone reading it who is, then follow these, showering and brushing teeth, simple things like this are super important. But Annie omg you look divine and your husband looks lovely and is this your house? I want it, its so lovely! Hurrah for you and all of your gorgeousness xxx

Yes. We've lived in the house 29 years, so are rather in a "construction zone" -- he's redoing the stairs from carpet to wood with paint, and wood balusters to wrought iron; then we start on the upstairs bathrooms and the kitchen I am an OCD soul, so chaos is very stressful. But we have wonderful neighbors although the area has grown up round about us. We even have an interstate exit now, with traffic. And my husband is an absolutely wonderful person -- I've never heard anyone say a bad word about it. Not easy living with a saint!

Still trying to figure out what's making the FSP go on -- aagh. No road trip for me!
