Default One year and a lot of pounds gone

So at the one year mark (2 weeks ago), I think I was down 91lbs. I started a bit over 250. Today, I'm 158. I'm wearing size 8 jeans (and they aren't tight), but I have size 6s that fit. I'm also wearing a shirt in a size MEDIUM.

There's a few odd things that happen all the time. when I shop for clothes, I don't understand why clothes seem to all run so BIG now, and then I realize that they don't... I'm just smaller and it's hard to comprehend that I could be in anything other than an XXL. It happens when I pull a shirt out of my closet and it's swimming on me. EVERY.SINGLE.TIME I think, "I thought this shirt was tighter on me"... and then I remember that I bought it months ago. It's hard to get used to. every day.

My husband calls me "tiny", which makes me laugh and I keep thinking he's being sarcastic but a second later I realize that he's serious.

I started running. mind you, I can only run for a few minutes, but a year ago I got winded going up the steps, so being able to run on the treadmill or up my long, steep driveway feels good. I'm going to keep doing it too, since running is a lot easier at this weight. I also gave up sweets, fairly easily. I still have a bit once in a while, but I don't binge like I used to. In fact, I barely eat candy or junk at all, and when I do... it's one bite and I'm done.

I have no bad side effects and NO regrets. I'm still losing 2 or 3lbs a month, but I'm not trying either. I mean, I'm just living and eating healthy options, and the weight is still coming off, so I'm fine with that. I have 10 more pounds to go to my goal (148). I think I can get there in 3 or 4 months.

Congrats Tuesday! That is awesome!!! You are doing so great! If you really want to ease into running in a safe way try the free C25K app by zen labs. I had even done that when I was overweight. It will help you become a runner without doing too much too soon and injuring yourself.

So happy to hear! It really is fun, isn't it? I'm not even trying anymore either, just got into the habit of healthy eating and don't even think about it. (As I'm having some smoked salmon for breakfast. Weird but yummy, and no cooking involved when I'm running off to sub.)

Yes, I've tried that app before. I was heavier when I did though, and would get stuck at week 3 forever and then give up. This time, I didn't do the app, but I am doing some interval running and getting better at it.

Congrats on your success! It is a magnificent feeling!

Kudos on starting running! It has become a thing for me and I actually love it! Get out an run a few 5k's, they are so much fun and there are tons of people cheering you on that it becomes addictive. Start slow and slowly increase your mileage and you just never know how far you can go!

Great job, congrats on your weight loss!
