Goodbye X's!

When I walk into a department store I still turn toward the Plus size department out of habit, but I no longer need to wear X clothes. In fact, today I found a pair of pants at the back of my closet, size L. Tried them on and they fit! So I don't even need XL's now. I'm less than half way to my weight loss goal so I'm trying to avoid buying much which means I tend to wear baggy clothes. (The same ones that used to be uncomfortably tight.) But right now I'm comfortably wearing size L pants and I feel great.

Last week I crisscrossed the country on some very small commuter planes and fit in every seat with room to spare. Seat belts cinched easily. And when I had to run to make a connection no one asked if I was alright when I made it to my gate because I wasn't bright red or looked like I was about to have a heart attack.

All to say, it's great to post smaller numbers but those NSVs really make life easier.

I'm not buying too much but had to get some clothes for work as the old one were just way too big.

I'm still in the fluffy sizes but at least am down two sizes. My current dream is to go into a store and not have to do crazy jumps and bends to find the large sizes. Very motivating!!

Congratulations!!!! Way to Go!!! I'm sure you are elated with the your progress! Keep up the great work!! Have you tried thrifting? Just an alternative until you reach your goal weight so that you won't spend a lot of clothes that you will soon get rid of. My coworker told me never to wear my favorite pair of jeans to work again because they were so baggy.

I think never setting foot in the plus-sized store again is the best NSV of this entire journey! I used to shop for what was the least ugly on me. Now I can shop for the cutest things in any store or catalogue.

Yay Dale so good! I totally get you on the clothes, I literally have nothing left so I have bought some. Do something for me and I would come with you if I was there... but go and buy yourself one nice outfit that fits you. Or even 2. What tends to happen is that we keep wearing the clothes that are too big for us and it makes us feel big still. Just do it! I say this because I bought a little black dress a couple of weeks ago and I actually look small. It had quite an effect on my weird brain thing. I just think this would be so good for you. Let me know if you do!

Our church has a huge annual rummage sale by SWAT (Special Works and Tasks) women, and going through my closet has been fun knowing that they will go to the women's shelter, or someone who needs them.

Congratulations Dale! I am truly more excited for my NSV than for the actually "number". I am 48 hours away from joining the "loser bench" COULD NOT BE HAPPIER TO BE A LOSER !!!!
