1 day post op

Boy am I glad day 1 is over. I didn’t have a bad reaction but I did wake up in a lot of pain (some people don’t). Now I can hardly move my legs as my my groin and hips areas are real sore. Dry heaving from the pain meds made everything a lot worse too, and then he hiccups. I still think it will be worth it in the long run..

It will get better.
The first few days to a week are probably the worst.

Yeah. I woke up from surgery dry heaving and thinking "Why did I do this?" because I was in pain. But then they gave me something and I fell back to sleep. Then I slept off and on. Felt a bit nauseous but nothing I could not handle. Week one was hard but it did get a little bit easier every day. You got this. Hang in there.

I'm into week 2 and I feel pretty normal already. I do still tire easily but week 2 is so much better than week 1!

I am so sorry you feel punky. But it gets better every day, and then you have a new "forever" of good health! I was very fortunate as my doctor routinely does an IV antinausea -- so even though I have an incredibly sensitive stomach, no problem.
