Just beginning...Went to my first seminar and met with my surgeon.

I am so excited to start this journey. I am a little scared. 6 months seems like a long time away and I don't know how things will change once the surgery is complete! How will I feel? How will others see me? So many questions...I guess I will have to wait and see...

6 months passes so quickly really, you will suddenly be surprised that it is nearly here. Its interesting, all the thoughts we have. This forum is great as if you stick around and join in and ask questions etc you will have learned heaps before the surgery and you will find that really useful. I think I came on 2 months before my surgery and I was so helped by everything I read, the support, the advice etc. Welcome :-)

I am not telling ANYONE about this decision now or after the surgery. I have a son who is 18 so he will drive me home after surgery. Will I be ok the first few days on my own once released from the hospital?

It is an exciting journey to be on. I am sooooo glad I took it. My life is absolutely fabulous. For me the 6 months seemed to drag by...but as soon as I got the surgery it has flown by. I love my sleeved life.
