    Unhappy Cold flashes!

Ok, hot flashes are one thing but COLD. Any one been getting cold flashes? I have been getting the darn things for the past month. They last for about 20 minutes of so, chills down my need and spine. On top of things spring will just not arrive!

    UGH!

I’m cold all the time and get cold flashes that last until I drink hot tea or wrap myself in my hot blanket or lay on my hot pad with lots of layers. Can’t wait for warmer weather. This started as soon has I started loosing weigh.

I was cold before the surgery. But yes, I am cold. I take my shower at bedtime now, so I'm warm enough to go to sleep. I've taken to wearing Little T tanks under my shirts even on the warmer days, not that even in North Carolina we've had many yet. My feet stay cold 24/7. But what you going to do? I feel great otherwise

Was never cold before the surgery and weight loss. Now I am cold all the time. I wear a jacket and hat pretty much everywhere I go. Even inside! It seems to be a fact of life after the sleeve. I have been told it gets better over time, but I'm a year out and its just as bad. Freezing, all the time. Fingers really feel it.

Can't wait for summer. 90 degrees and humid is in my dreams......

Yep, certainly feel the cold more than pre surgery. We are just heading into Winter (my first post surgery) so am stocking up on thermals etc to layer under my clothes. Have also invested in a warm jacket. Will need that when I am standing on the sidelines at my 6 year old Grandson's Rugby League games. Brrrr!

I also wear base layers under my clothes and wear hat and jacket too. Helps to stay moving when outside to stay warm. Wear gloves or mittens too. Love hand warmers. I finally understand what thin people were talking about. Lol. Upside is we can tolerate hotter weather. Don’t need ac like I use too.

Yeah that is a common with sleeved people. We get cold super easy. And with the crazy weather it is worse.

Thanks you all! I have been putting on so many layers at time I can hardly move. I unplug the heating pad each morning and make the bed up with the pad in it. Its those darn neck and spin chills that get me when they hit. Burr.......

I used to be hot and sweaty ALL THE TIME! It was beyond embarrassing. Now I'm freezing all the time! Even though I don't like being cold, at least I'm not sweating and worrying about smelling.

I used to have a fan attached to my ultrasound machine at work and now the fan is gone and I have to wear my hospital work fleece all the time!
The only slight downside is that I shake uncontrollably even in not so cold weather.

Oh gawd kiwigirl... when I lived in NZ I was so cold all the time. I used to go to the steam room with all the Chinese girls to warm my bones!!! Get some good thermals girl :-)
