Default Hello & I have questions...

Hello, I had my surgery 1 month ago. I have no pain but am uncomfortable all day. Does this ever go away?
I have lost 27 pounds but haven't lost any in a week. I don't think I'm eating/drinking enough protein. Today, I decided to drink 60 grams of protein. We'll see if I lose weight tomorrow. Also, when I eat, I feel weird. After I eat, I feel weird. Does anyone know what I'm talking about. I would appreciate any answers or advise. Thanks in advance, Kim

First of all, totally normal. It will get better in time. Just remember to eat/drink slowly. Give yourself time to feel the full. You should get full very quickly. And as far as weight loss.....you are most likely in your first stall. It is very common to hit stalls throughout the process. Your body just needs time to catch up. The first one is usually between weeks 2-5 and the most common being week 3. There is even a name for it....the 3 week stall. It takes a bit to get in enough protein/fluids. I will say that you should have already been getting 60+ grams of protein a day.

Nothing really to add to Christies info other than to say i completely agree with her and I hope you feel better soon. The sleeve was the best thing i ever did but there was an adjustment period.

Yup. Totally normal. I didn't feel weird, but I didn't feel the way I expected after eating....... The old full feeling and the new full feeling are nothing alike. It is better now that I am 1 year post surgery, but I still go from not full, to way too full really fast.

You will get used to it.

Focus on protein and liquids. Nothing else if you're not reaching the protein / water goals for the day. It was a job the first few months to get enough.

    Good luck!
