Hi everyone. My surgery is Tuesday the 10th, 2 1/2 hour drive away. I'm surprisingly calm. I'm sure Monday or Tuesday morning will be different. I'm enjoying my last bowl of pureed broth, veggies and nut milk. Tomorrow is clear liquids only. I think I'm stocked up on what I'll need. I appreciate all the positive posts here and health mindfullness. I hope to be posting some good results soon.

Wishing you a speedy recovery! Remember to walk as much as you can right after surgery to get rid of the gas. Sip sip sip and walk walk walk! You sound like you are totally ready for this. You'll do great!

Good luck with he surgery and a speedy recovery. I am scheduled to have my sleeve on Tuesday as well, but unfortunately I seem to have a chest infection and so I think my operation will be cancelled.

Honestly, I was really calm and didn't really get "nervous" until that morning....not until I was lying in the bed and the anesthesiologist came to give me my drugs. Then I started to get nervous. LOL. You got this. You are going to do great! If you haven't already, take some measurements and progress pics (with as little on as possible). Then begin taking them again every 2 weeks. You will love to have your journey documented.

We're sleeve buddies. I hope we both have as positive an experience as possible. My close friend had such a good experience, no vomiting, stayed alone when she got home. Stopped pain meds after first day at home. I'm pretty active for a fat girl, so I hope that helps. See ya on the other side.

I kept thinking before hand - I can just lose the weight myself, I don't have to do this - but I did need to do it. I can lose the weight (some of it) but could I maintain that strict of a diet for the rest of my life without some help? No way, if I could I would have done it years ago! I have just begun this journey and am excited about how great I am going to feel as the weight drops and I have more energy!
