Medicare Copay?

So I'm just waiting on Medicare now to approve (the next two weeks are going to be full of Anxiety)and I got to wonder,Is there a copay on this kinda thing? I so far have never had to pay out of pocket for anything if Medicare has covered it,but I couldn't get a straight answer out of the rep. when I called to ask. So those of you who have had this done VSG in CT. How much if anything did you have out of pocket for the surgery? And did you have to pay that before or After the surgery was done? I just wanna be ready if I'm asked to pony up any money since I'm B.A.F right now(hoping this ends up in the right thred this time>.<)

Did you ever find out if Medicare would pay? I am in the same boat, wondering.
Are you required to loose weight prior to surgery?

As far as i know right now medicare is paying for it(it depends on state) wether you need to lose weight first depends on your surgeon. 2 vists to nutrion,a five year history of being over weight.BMI of 40 with two other things caused by being fat(OSA,High blood presure,deitbetus) A history sheet of at least two(more is better)Docror supervised diets that FAILED. In my state they do not preaprove the surgery so I'm going into this not knowing if i'll have a large bill later of not. I'll update after tuesday may 8 which is my surgery date.

Medicare is paying for everything except about $1,300. the hospital told me my supplement will pick upo the remainder.
