Easter wishes to everyone

Hope you are all having a lovely easter weekend. We had delicious seafood and salmon last night, I don't really need it be Good Friday to have an excuse for seafood though. We had that and wilted spinach and there was some champagne knocking about but I didn't bother with that. We have the family over tomorrow for lunch so I am providing more seafood and Nan is doing something with a chicken and has some rather nice special olives and a dip she can't remember the name of! I suppose I shall end up doing a mass run in the morning for the grandfather, which I don't mind a bit, and sometimes do it twice on a Sunday :-) Everyone has a delicious special Easter egg, except me lol, and I think it is going to be a lovely day, although there might be some thunderstorms. That won't stop our gallop though :-)

Happy Easter! We are doing a "Staycation" this weekend. My husband won a free night in a hotel ;-) The kids are with the others for the weekend. Our oldest will come by and tend to the dogs so we are all set! The weather is supposed to be beautiful today and I am throwing in a bathing suit just in case

Happy Easter, Edie & all. I have to say this is my first Easter on my way to thinner instead of fatter. I'm really embracing the resurrection message in a personal way (hope this doesn't sound sacrilegious) and feeling like I have been given a new life. Every other year I've bought Easter candy and swiped too much and baked a lamb cake and ate most of it. No desire for either this year. Grateful.

Happy Easter, Edie! I have been cooking fI mador Easter dinner. I made pickled eggs, Hungarian Easter bread, roasted asparagus, and a crockpot turkey breast, and Haleski. (DH is Polish). No grandkids this year, they are at their cousins for an Easter egg hunt.

Thank you dear Annie, it sounds delicious! I once had an unfortunate trip to Poland many years ago, I was so poor and so we stayed with a friends grandmother in a tower block... she served us quite large lumps of some sort of meat and cabbage and I was vegetarian at the time. I didn't want to seem rude so I picked at it. I also didn't have a warm enough coat so it was all rather tragic! But I would love to go back again! :-)

It was a lovely lunch in the garden. I only had to do one mass drive by as the grandfather reckoned going once was enough to give him the tick :-) LOL
