Hi there, just wondering if anyone has eaten twiggy sticks??? Are these ok for a small snack for protein?

Hallo you Aussie girl, You are talking about those ones on the deli in woolies or Coles right? I think they would be very processed preserved meat... let me look it up...
Pork, Cure [Maltodextrin (Maize or Tapioca), Dextrose (Maize or Tapioca), Salt, Tapioca Starch, Vegetable Powders, Spice, Antioxidant (316), Preservative (250)], Edible Collagen Casing (Colours: 120, 150c, 160b). Naturally Wood Smoked.

I mean I suppose they are a bit like a salami and people tend to eat too much of them and a bit high in fat. All the fat Italians I know, love salami and cured meats. I mean its delicious! I guess it depends if you can stop at one :-)

Based on the nutrition info that Gwen gave I think they are fine. As she said, moderation. I wouldn't be too concerned about the fat content this early on as we don't get much but down the road you will want to monitor your fat intake.
