Default Eating less 3 months out

Hi there, I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this. I am almost 3 months out, and I am finding I am able to eat less now than I was able to a month or so ago. I always do my dense protein first, and then try to add a salad or veggie(s) of some sort, but it seems like I fill up fast. I am getting in about 80g of protein a day, but there are some days it is a struggle. Has anyone else found a decrease in appetite as they go along?

    Thanks!

It will get better. As you begin to adjust.

Yes I think that happens once we get onto more solid proteins, they fill you up much faster :-)

Definitely you can eat less when you are on solids. It will eventually get better but it does take time. That is why it is so important to take your vitamins.

For me... it took TIME! I had a surgeon and nutritionist that were so strict on eating and I was always stunned when I would see other people on here eating things much sooner than I was told to eat. I didn't even start eating solids for something like 8-10 weeks. I filled up quickly after eating maybe an ounce of chicken- when I started eating chicken again- and a couple broccoli florets, so I made sure I got in my premiere protein shakes daily. But then at around 6 months post op my appetite came back with a bang! The appetite came back but the restriction was still there, so if I eat just a spoonful too much to this day... it comes up.

I also measured every thing that went in to my mouth. (I can eyeball spot on, now) and I could only eat 1/4 cup, tops, in the first couple of months per meal when I began eating solid food. That's chicken AND a steamed vegetable combined to make 1/4.) I just could not get any more into me. It was ingrained in me to never eat more than 1 cup of food (per meal) EVER, for the rest of my life! (I had some real head issues from listening to the nutritionist and surgeon about eating.) I don't shoot for eating over 1 cup of food at a meal, but I can't get much more into me without running to the bathroom wanting to hurl.

I am on pureed foods. Everything looks like baby food. My husband and I went to a Mexican restaurant last night and I had re-fried beans with a sprinkle of cheese and a spoonful of guacamole. I could eat a Tablespoon or so of each. I am a cheap date these days :-) Like there others have said, I believe it will get better.

I can actually eat quite a lot, but less than I was able to maybe a month ago. I guess it is like folks are saying - solids fill you up more. But there is really nothing I have not been able to eat up to now - except for broccoli! Weird, because have always loved it, but the last 2 times it has made me want to . barf, so laying off it for a while. But everything else seems to be fine, just in small quantities
