I can eat 5 oz of chicken breast with no problem. So I'm very careful on what I chose to eat! I haven't really eaten to many veggies yet or fruits. I know I need to start but I'm focusing hard core on protien and fluids. Hope this helps a little.
I just had my 3 month post op appointment and my doc said if I eat more than 80g of protein a day I would't lose weight. That doesn't seem to be the case for you. So many different approaches. Whatever works is what I say. :-)

I've read a lot of posts on this site from the people who have had long term success talking about how they track everything (which is something that I've been thinking about starting since I'm having such an easy time getting foods down and I want to be sure I'm staying on track). I was wondering what people generally shoot for in terms of daily calorie intake? My nutritionist was never very specific about anything other than protein and water intake goals and eating everything in order when you have room for it: protein, veggies, fruit, carbs.

Thanks to everyone for your help! I am on this site daily and have found so much support and help from it both before and after my surgery.
I'm a little more than 3 months out and have not had any trouble with any foods either. I mostly focus on getting 80g of protein and 64oz of water. Best of luck to you!

It has worked wonderfully. Every body is different and reacts differently with foods. My body LOVE the protien I keep thinking I'm in maintenance but I lost another pound.

What a bizarre comment! And not true for me. Not at all.

Honestly, some of the crap I hear reported from the mouths of actual medicos and their team members are bonkers!

I thought it was a bit strange too. It doesn't make sense.
