5 year update! Warning: Very Inspirational lol

Hello!!

It has been a while since I've posted on here but it seems like yesterday I was browsing these message boards reading about the journeys of others who underwent gastric sleeve surgery. When I first joined 5 years ago, I was close to 300lbs and constantly gaining weight. Diet and exercise did not seem to take the weight off, no matter how hard I tried. I did decide to get the gastric sleeve surgery and my decision has been nothing but beneficial. I have absolutely no regrets!! I was able to fulfill some of my greatest aspirations, those of which could not have happened at my former weight. I love to travel but being over weight limited my travel experiences. Now, I feel more confident and comfortable in a bathing suit. Also, I went from not even being able to fit on a plane, or sit in the plane seats to becoming a flight attendant! For those considering this surgery, do your research and after you feel ready to change your life, go for it!!

I hope that in a year and a half I can do the same victory lap here (I'm 3.5 years post-op and still doing great).

I haven't had the surgery yet. I'm going through the process of getting there now. I'm hoping to have the gastric sleeve before the end of this year.
