    Default venting

    Hey everyone,

So I am about 6 months out and am down 70 pounds. I seem to be stuck at 205ish. I really want to get under 200 that would be ideal right now. I am not sure what I should do to help myself. The bathroom has been an issue lately and sometimes I will have snacks, so I dont feel hungry or deprived. But I am not going overboard.

What can I do to get myself moving in the right direction.

    Thanks

Are you focusing on protien like 80 to 100 grams a day? Getting at the minimum of 64 oz of water every day? How many calories are you eating?

What do you mean by "deprived"?
Do you feel you miss out on something?
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

When I hit a stall I go back to basics. Make sure I get sufficient protein, add a protein shake or protein bar. Add a pack or two of tuna. I make sure I get more than my usual liquids, and maybe most important walk every day. Go back to the basics, don't eat late or maybe keep a food journal and you will smash that 200 ceiling. You CAN do this!

If you 'have' to snack save part of your diner for snack time, just a tablespoon or two. By doing that you'll incorporate the snack calories into your daily intake. It may not seem like it but a few extra bites here and there do and can add up if you aren't exercising off the surplus. You can make your goal by just making small changes with exercise and food intake. Be sure to update us when you get to 199.

Are you using any kind of tracker to know exactly what you are consuming? What is your activity level like? How long have you been stalled? For me, when I started stalling farther out it was because I was not eating enough.

Try tracking your food. You may not be getting enough calories.

First, well done on the exercise; other than walking, I've yet to add any.
TRACKING - well I'm a life time diabetic, and use the food scale, and my alsost worn out measuring cups. It is amazing how the eye overestimates sizes (at least in my case).

I know many here use MyFitnessPal. I've heard Bariatastic is good because it also tracks water easily. I personally prefer LiveStrong MyPlate, which is available free on computer, Android & I-phone. They allow tracking of macro & micronutrients, which I find enormously beneficial. And it has the "scan" label feature, so I can easily add something. Also you can create your own meal by entering a recipe one time.

Please note SERVING SIZE is not the same as PORTION size in the world of registered dietician. I'm going to post a simple photo which might help evaluate how close you are.

Also, keep doing the right things -- it will catch up and the scales drop, but I also check my "inches" and on the days I'm not losing lbs, I am lozing oz's.

Here is a portion chart I got from my nutritioinist. [ATTACH=CONFIG]27543

It's hard for me to comment, much less offer any advice, if I don't know how much and what you're typically eating each day.

For example, are you eating 800 calories/day? 1,000? 1,500? Are you getting 60 grams of protein/day? 80? 100? More? How many carbs? How many veggies? Are the veggies you're eating the high-fiber kind? Fruits? How much sugar-added foods? How much alcohol and how often are you drinking)?

Do you have any binging episodes? If so, how big are they? How often do they occur?

How much water are you drinking daily?

Are you taking all your supplements? Which Rx meds are you taking?

Those are some things that would be helpful to know before I could offer any specific comments or advice.

Not being snarky. Just wanting to be more helpful to you.
