OK, I know I mentioned this before, but my experience with a colonoscopy was horrible. I know we have to have them at a certain age, but when you do, please sit down and totally discuss the relationship with a colonoscopy and the sleeve. I told everyone, but I don't think they paid much attention.
First of all my prep was horrible, I had to drink 64 ounces of Gatorade mixed with an entire bottle of Mirolax starting at 4 pm, along with some laxative pills. When I explained that was quite a bit of liquid for me, they said to start earlier. It was torture. There has to be a prep that doesn't involve that much liquid.
The procedure went fine. (No cancer!!) Left for vacation. After not using the bathroom for about 6 days, I started with horrible diarrhea that lasted an entire 5 days. Pretty much ruined my family vacation, as when I wasn't in the bathroom I was in bed. The doctor advised the BRAT diet; bananas, rice, applesauce and toast. Didn't do a thing.
There must be some research here. Like maybe my tiny stomach wasn't able to absorb any food after being emptied out completely? I've had this procedure before the sleeve with no complications at all.
Sometimes I feel like a science experiment!
