This is a question the last few days, and while I've lived with knowing it since 1989, like all our health issues, your own physician and blood work will be your most reliable information.

I do not drink more than a 1/2 glass of wine, infrequently. I do NOT take tylenol/acetaminophen because it is liver toxic, and takes forever to clear out, and at least in my case, makes it hurt.

I do not eat high fat foods for the same reason.

And for me, the VGS solved multiple chronic morbidities. Again, its a very individual thing. That's why the primary doctor should know you when you are welll - so they can diagnos when you aren't
