Default i 'JUMPED THE GUN A BIT!'

Hello everyone. I want to apologize for signing up to participate on this site even before I have an actual surgery date. in addition, I don't think I'll be getting the gastric sleeve but I will be getting bypass surgery. I still have to lose about 3 more pounds before I'll be given a date. Thanks! Verve1

I don't believe an apology is required. I signed up while I was going through the decision process so I could ask questions and get advice. It's hard to know which process is right for you because this isn't a one size fits all process. I'm not sure how much weight you've lost but 3 lbs is not much. Wishing you continued success in your weight loss process.

Verve, very best to you. Your life won't be a lot different than ours pretty soon after your WLS.

All that matters is that you get healthier and stay healthy.

    Very best wishes to you.

How thoughtful. I do not have a surgery date either, however, I signed up for the site while I was contemplating VSG. I really enjoy reading everyone's story about pre-op, post-op, insurance requirements, words of encouragement, advice, meal plans, personal decision for having WLS, etc. A wealth of information is on this forum and I appreciate everyone for sharing their experience and assistance to others. So, keep us updated!

I signed up about 6 weeks prior to having a surgery date. This is a great place to learn and meet others who have been through real life experiences and are so willing to share what they have been through and are full of encouragement. To me the folks here in the forum are a part of my process. Best of luck to you!

This site is great for people who are in any phase of the process. As for having a bypass...different procedure with different recovery. Good luck with your WLS.

The more you research the better! There may be a site like this for bypass patients, I don't know, as your experience won't be exactly like ours. Good luck!
