Four years out and health issues :(

I have had both knees totally replaced, and now one leg is shorter than the other. I can't exercise like a I want to, and walking too much hurts. I also have severe sleep issues for years. I'm 63 and metabolism slows as you age. I have gained seven pounds back. I'm just besides myself. It seems impossible to lose weight without exercise. I guess I'm just venting. I'm so upset

Both of the above are great ideas! Also, do you track what you eat? I started using My Fitness Pal and it really helps knowing what I am eating. Having that accountability may help.

I have one leg shorter, too (only surgery in 1 knee but that did it). I have a great chiropractor who adjusts me regularly or my back gets out of wack.

I've been using the Leslie Sansone's walk at home DVDs. They're pretty low impact and you can work up to longer workouts. I'm 64 and have the metabolism of a gnat. Am losing very slowly but without exercising the scale barely moves at all. So I feel your pain and I'm still clawing my way down. Your current weight looks wonderful from where I am. Yes, it's harder for us, but I'm not throwing in the towel and I know you can find some way to get back on the right road. Best of luck to you!

Chair yoga was very helpful for me; I have vertigo 24/7 so am a bit unsafe at any speed and at age 65@

Here's any easy link; it helps with flexibility, range of motion and strength. And I find it soothing.
