Default 4 years later and sudden problems

I had my sleeve done 4 years ago. In February of this year I had a pretty bad bout of nausea and vomiting that lasted 3 days. I thought I had the flu. It passed and I felt fine. Then two weeks later it happened again. Since then it has happened 3 more times. It usually clears up in a couple of days. Sometimes there is pretty bad pain. I went to my GP and they said it could be anything. They did an X-ray and said I have no blockages. They suggested going to see the surgeon that did my sleeve.
I moved to a different state a few years ago and my weight loss surgeon is halfway across the country. So flying there is not an option.
I can only eat small amounts, less than half of what I normally eat.
I am wondering if it is possible to have a stricture this long after surgery. Or maybe an ulcer?
I know no one can give medical advice but I am wondering if anyone else has had the same type of problem. Any help would be appreciated.

I only know, that a stricture would have shown on the X-ray, as well as an ulcer, but that depends what kind of X-ray was taken.
I would go and find a bariatric surgeon, right where you live now.
It cannot be, that we can never move again our entire lives?
I don't know where it is you live now, but maybe there is someone here on this board, who can help you find a surgeon in your neighbourhood?
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Yes, I've heard of strictures occurring after the first year. Other than that, I know nothing about strictures, except that the symptoms (can't eat much at all) sound like yours.

Big caveat: I am not a doctor, and this is NOT medical advice.

My advice: Go see a bariatric surgeon.

My final thought: Everything that happens after WLS isn't related to WLS. But still -- go see a bariatric surgeon.

If you had scans, your next step might be an endoscopy, which your primary care could recommend to a gastroenterologist. Or pyloric ulcer. But I am a mental health professional, so unless you're having a bout of crazy, I'm no help.

Endoscopy is NOT painful. I have one annually.

I think a scope may be the next step. Had a miserable day Sunday and Monday. I have another appointment with GP next week.

I hope you don't mind my question -- but what kinds of issues are you having 6 years out?

Have you had your gallbladder checked? My partner had that issue after VSG, and two trips to the ER just diagnosed her with gastritis and sent her home. They finally diagnosed her as needing to have her gall bladder out.
