Default Weight loss and the affect on your spine

So I ended up hurting my back...again. The weight loss has made it feel so much better but the damage has already been done. However I finally got to see what losing 139 pounds has done to my spine. I had x rays done when I was 260 pounds then again this week at 122 pounds. The one on the left is from 2012 and the right is this week.

Look at the amount of disk space I now have!!!! I was shocked. My chiropractor was stunned. Just more proof of how much excess weight literally weighs you down.

To those who are on the fence about having this surgery just look at my results. What do you have to lose? I gained my life back!

Sorry to hear you hurt your back again. Hope you feel better soon. Was wondering why the earlier pick shows your spine straiter than the new one?. Cool to see the improved disc space.

I love having this visual. I'm only down about 45lbs but my chiropractor also mentioned he can tell there is less disc compression already. Amazing what all that extra weight does to our poor bodies.

Well look at you! And "Gege1061"--down 80lbs in less time. I'm fine being the tortoise in this race but I have a long way to go and I'm hoping my discs will be jumping for joy with more weight off.

You know Dale I think you were a couple of weeks after me and I've lost 50 ish which means you're like 5 pounds behind me because of the 2 weeks and so THAT actually that makes you my twin, really, and actually makes you fabulous and tracking really well. So there. I love your whole face :-) xxx

Wow that's amazing, I'm sorry you've hurt your back again, I hope heals soon. I have suffered with my back after a fall so I am hoping that losing weight will help. Since I had my surgery I haven't had much back pain but it can be like that, time will tell but your post has given me hope. Thank you for sharing.
