    Default no bathroom...?

I was sleeved about 6 months ago. I have lost 70 pounds so far and I am proud of myself. The last 2 weeks or so I have been having a lot of trouble going to the bathroom. Either I do not go at all or it is too hard and hurts really badly and then I bleed. It also never finishes. I think I may be backed up. I am not loosing and I might have put on 2 pounds. What do I do?

I was having the exact same issues about a month ago. I have since started a new regimen of a Docasate Sodium (Stool Softener) once in the morning and once at night. Two Fiber Gummies everyday. I also drink a dose of Miralax when I feel I might be getting "Backed up". Have not had a problem since. I also drink about 100 ozs a day and have added a few more fiber based foods into my diet. Never had to worry about it before, but it is now on my mind everyday because I don't want to go through that pain/discomfort ever again.

This has worked for me. No saying it will work for everyone as every body processes things differently.

    Best of luck to ya!!

Try taking the Mirilax with mixed with some V 8 juice for a few day. I had to use it for a week following an impacted bowl. Trust me you don’t want that to happen to you. Also you can try a glycerin suppository or an enema to get thins moving.
Smooth move tea also is good, you should be able to find it at the drug store or Walmart. I hope you feel better soon. Blessings!

Call your doctor to see what he/she recommends.

I can tell you water really helps. Tons of water.

Drink a lot of water, more than you think is enough. Take mirolax, also Colace. If it doesn't get better talk to your Dr. When I was having this problem I stopped worrying about my protein and focused on my water / fluid intake. Took a couple days but it got better. I also avoided protein shakes (think thick) during this time and stuck to clear protein drinks (Isopure). Seemed to help.

    Hope this helps!

I had very hard stool for months. I had to take milk of magnesia to even go and when I did...ouch! All the miralax and metumcil and benefiber in the world didn't help. I finally found the trick....insoluble fiber. Started adding ground flax seed to my daily Greek yogurt and ate a lot of Kashi Go Lean cereal. Oh yeah, and LOTS of water (100+ ounces/day) Totally fixed things. The soluble fiber found in most fiber supplements can actually make constipation worse.

What everyone else said, you have to try different things but take something! Poor you, that's miserable.
