Default Still losing -- HAIR?? When will it start to grow back.

I'm at 5 months today, 65.8 lbs down -- and I think about 2 lbs of that is my hair!

When does it start growing back?* I'm pretty clever with a comb,*hairspray*and*some hair fiber, but ouch it's getting sparse.

Other than that, I feel fabulous.

Any idea as to when it starts to come back in?* Any ideas on how to help it look better?* (Apparently, I am vain)

It was around 10 moths to a year I started to notice little baby hairs growing back and sticking out in all weird directions
I didn't had much to begin with, and it was/is really thin.
    Over 60, you know?
I wish I had ideas, but I am struggling with that part too.

I will follow this topic, in the hope someone has a great tip.
And your new photo, o my... you are looking sooo good!
    So liberated, so almost reborn!
    You are doing great!
    Keep up the good work!
English is not my first language anymore, so I may and do make mistakes in my spelling, or say things oddly. Please ask me, if you want any clarifications.

Toppix hair fiber at Sally's Beauty or Amazon helps. But hoping for great ideas!

I swear I am still losing hair after 4 years. Crazy. I have really thick hair, so it's no big deal, but I always have little short "fly away" pieces at my part. So it seems to be on a continual cycle of falling out and growing back.

Well hmmm. I have had two total hair losses with two separate chemos. So...I think biotin and prayer may be my best answers! Wish it was still thick!

I’ve read where this is quite common. I personally didn’t loose any due to having to be on twice the vitamins as other sleevers plus taking a biotin supplement. I actually have more hair now than I did before surgery. Try adding a prenatal vitamin to your supplements. Biotin gummies work for me.

I didn't know that Biotin came in gummies. I could probably do those. Difficulty with pills in general, and vitamins are soooo gross.

Yeah biotin gummies are the best. I forget what brand it is but it comes in a pink labeled clear bottle with a pink cap. Walgreens is the best place to get it because they usually have a buy one get one sale. I take two gummies at a time. The Walgreens brand of biotin gummies are good too.

Hi AnnieG, First let me say your picture is beautiful and you hair looks great! I also am worried about hair loss after I get my surgery this month. A Vitamin that I found on an independent vitamin testing web site that I have been taking pre surgery is Nature's Life Biotin Hair, Skin and Nail Formula. I also went to our local Ulta Store (like Sephora) and spoke with one of the sales representatives there and they recommended a Keranique Hair products. It has not been long enough to tell if they are working yet but I will let you know as soon as I see a difference. I wanted to try something ahead of time to see if I could jump start some hair growth ahead of my 2 week liquid diet and the surgery itself.

I started biotin before surgery and have continued to take it. My hair is just starting to fall out more than usual. I just ordered a laser hair growth comb to start using because my son's wedding is in May and I'm hoping to avoid leaving a trail of hair as I walk down the aisle.

Oh Dale, you made me laugh, and I needed to. Don't mother's at weddings get to wear hats, lol? It seems like my white hair is turning loose first, which leaves it patchy on top. The darker hair in the back, for now, seems to be hanging in. I'm sure you will look wonderful for the wedding.

I kind of have a Joe Dirt style mullet going on. That is why I cut my hair a while back. But the sides where it is growing back are quite a bit shorter than the rest. I am thinking soon I may cut shorter again until it all starts to get closer to the same length. Luckily with a thin face I can pull off short hair.

About 10 times a day I repeat, “This is not about me.” My son will be home from Korea, the bride is a beautiful woman inside & out...no one is going to be looking at the mother of the groom. I will still be chubby but not terribly obese. Just don’t want to embarrass anyone!
