Chlamydia and VSG

This is hard to post, but i was diagnosed with Chlamydia yesterday but my VSG is tomorrow. Is this going to stop me from surgery?

Hi! I think the only one who can answer is your doctor BUT I am assuming you had bloodwork done for pre-op tests and I would think they test for anything that would stop a surgery from moving forward.

You will need to talk with your doctor. I’m sorry your going through this but hopefully your doctor caught it before it caused any permanent damage. One issue I can think of is you are on a strong antibiotic for that and you need a different antibiotic for your Sleeve surgery. It might be to hard on to take both right after a stomach surgery. You can’t swallow pills for about a month and have to either take liquid, crush or empty capsul and mix into juice. It was hard getting the one antibiotic down I remember. But talk with your doctor. I agree. Please speak with your doctor. The doc is one person that you want to share everything with to make sure you both are on the same page which is having your best interest at heart.
