Hi All,

I just wanted to introduce myself. I'm a 55 year old woman from the Portland area of Maine, I've been married for 35 years and have three adult daughters. I work in the healthcare field and see what the effects of being overweight does to people everyday. I'm getting this surgery because I have done everything under the stars to lose the extra weight AND keep it off for good. My yo-yoing has been around the world and my yo-yo strings have grown thin. I've lost and gained the same pounds so many times, my fat cells are even getting tired! Enough is enough. It's time for a drastic change that I am very much looking forward too. I want to live the second half of my life healthy and feeling great. So much to look forward too. I'm excited to meet some new friends and be an active member here. Talk to you all soon!

HI Welcome. I am having my surgery in April. I feel like you, I want to enjoy this time of my life without the hindrance of being so heavy. The people on here who have had surgery are so positive and full of encouragement.
