Cool Reintroducing myself after gain during chemo for breast cancer

Hello all! I had VSG in July 2014 and had lost about 110lbs when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2016. I told my doctor the only things I asked was to live and not vomit. Processed carbs were the only thing that tasted good, I didn't vomit, and I got a green light to keep eating them even though I was gaining weight... fast. Looking back, they weren't concerned about the weight gain but I should have been!

Fast forward to June 2017 when I somehow managed to get costochondritis (which still troubles me today) and then in September I had a stroke. I swear, God/the universe is punking me!

Anyway, though I've certainly had challenges, the weight gain is my fault, pure and simple. I was so cocky - sure I could do it all without following the rules because so-and-so didn't have to and still lost weight. Now I'm eating humble (calorie-free) pie. Having gone through chemo-pause and turned 50, it's going to be harder than ever so I'm looking for people to follow on IG and in the forum who live the walk, have fallen and had to rise again, and are generally helpful and motivating.

    Nice to meet y'all!

Kim,chemo itself causes some gain. But congratulations on being a survivor! It's my favorite "club". The weight will come back off more quickly than you imagine. I also had Stokes and serious heart problem related to chemo
    But still upright is good!

I'm on Day 2 of a pouch reset (this one: https://www.obesitycoverage.com/the-...weight-regain/) to remind myself of what I'm SUPPOSED to be doing. I eat too much, too fast, and drink with my meals - and I wonder why I'm not losing? Well, I don't WONDER but still.

Anne, you asked about new goals and I'm not set on anything right now except ONEderland. That's where my focus is. Moving, drinking, eating proper VSG-style, and hitting ONEderland.

My profile pic is me almost in ONEderland at 204, before I started gaining again and my diagnosis of breast cancer. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to determine self-sabotage
