I feel like I am taking in very little calories but in almost 2 weeks I have only lost 7 pounds! Is this normal? On track? Most people seem like they are loosing more?

Don’t be disheartened, everyone is different and looses at there own pace. You could still be retaining fluids. Did you take your measurements before surgery, if so take a look at those as you are loosing inches. It will happen!
    Blessings!

I am loosing about 4 -5 lbs a month my dr. told me since i wasn't drastically overweight to begin with that i wouldnt loose as fast. I was discouraged at first bigtime but its still coming off just slower than others. I am mentally dealing with that and im ok with it as long as im making better choices and i am happier with myself and those around me too.

You are not most people, you are YOU. Some lose fast, some lose slow, but if you follow the program everyone loses. If I were you, I'd hide my scale and just keep on trucking, you'll do great.

It does make no sense in the beginning that you are eating about nothing and losing slowly or stalling. That's why I say hide your scale, it will just mess with your head. I do remember crying over the phone to my nutritionist how I was not losing weight at the beginning. But now I've lost it all and kept it off over 4 years. So I guess what I'm saying is it happens to almost all of us, quit worrying.

I think 7 pounds in two weeks is really good. 1/2 a pound a day! Your body is still getting used to it's new stomach and probably freaking out that some famine must be going on, right?

Your doing great. Don’t be discouraged. Your on the smaller side of big and you won’t loose as fast has a 300lb person or someone higher. Follow your program and youll be successful. You didn’t put it on overnight and it won’t come off overnight. lol You probably our loosing inches. Sometimes you may find when you are burning a lot of calories you may have to adjust and take in one. Try to relax. Youll look back on all this before you know it.

I have to laugh when people think 7 lbs in 2 weeks is such a small amount. Normal people have a hard time losing 7 lbs in 2 weeks. Don't compare yourself. You will lose weight the way your body wants you to. I always felt like I was a slow loser in the beginning but now I look back and laugh. I did just fine. Do not stress. And don't be surprised when you hit that first stall. It can be so discouraging but it happens to 99% of sleevers.

Some people lose at different rates. This past month, I've only lost 6 lbs. My surgeon's nurse told me the same thing that smaller people will tend to lose weight slower than those that are 300, 400, 500 lbs.
