YAY on being a normal BMI!!! You go Gwen! Not everything is just weight related. I had a friend who was tall and very slim. She was an avid runner and health food nut. She had high cholesterol. It was all genetic. Nothing she could do but take meds for it.

Thanks sweetie, yeah I was a bit disappointed but also now I do know that I have tried everything, diet, exercise etc and it is just what it is. I also have had sensible advice from the doc about letting it go (I've hung onto the no statins for a while) and just seeing that it's genetics. She is patient about that when I am wailing 'why'??? Intellectually I get it but I think I like to thing I'm invincible! Not this time! It's okay :-) XXX

My dad outlived his 4 brothers and died in his 60's. He was healthy, small, and walked every day. I'm 61. Totally staying on my meds! Anyone who says it's only what you eat is wrong.
Genetics. My sisters died at 61 & 68. I'm 66, but I take the Repatha shot as well as the statins since I've had strokes and a failed triple bypass. That said, I take the CoQ-10 to keep from having muscle pain which cardiologist recommended. So I feel good!

Ab Normal BMI, I ran my weight down to normal BMI actually -3 lbs. everyone thought I was sick, very skinny for my chest and arm size. We are on the 14th month PO and I am 5’11” probably 180 lbs, In our new Country Indonesia it is hard to find the high quality protein bars and shakes we were accustomed to after surgery. Our diet has more carbs then before even McDonalds service rice, we are going to have to exercise more. Can’t wait till rainy season is over an we hit the Bali Beaches, last time we live here was 1983 to 1993, young adults living the dream...... (both employed in Jakarta)

Back to the BMI thing, 18.5 (133 lbs) being normal BMI @ 5’11 would have put me as a skinny extra in Schindler list.

All you sleevers have have a GREAT Day!!!

It gets a bit of a worry Annie but you sound very well looked after. I've read about CoQ-10 so theres an idea if I get any muscle pain. Stick around for us Annie xxxx

Hi, Yes living overseas can be challenging after this surgery for sure. The BMI thing is interesting as it's not always the best indicator and i understand that:-)
