I am just starting pre op diet for surgery coming up in 2 weeks. I've lost about 45 pounds by myself since July 1 and truly love food. I'm committed to losing the weight and decided to go the sleeve route. I'm excited and nervous at the same time. I've read a lot and seen so many posts on here. I know I need to change my eating habits which I have pretty much already. I'm rarely hungry. I also am committed to the special diet and adjustment to eating very little immediately following surgery and most likely for the next 6 months. My concern is that there will be foods that I will just never be able to eat again at all because them making me sick. Has anyone experienced that? For example, will I ever be able to eat a truffle? or a piece of pie or cake? Will certain foods just have to be eliminated forever?
